Chief of Staff

Help shape how Techleap delivers on its ambitious public program. As Chief of Staff within Stichting DutchStartHub, you will act as the operational backbone of Techleap’s public mandate, bringing structure, governance discipline, and organisational coherence at a pivotal moment of growth.

This role combines strategic coordination with operational leadership. Working as the right hand of the Director Public Programs, you ensure that Techleap’s public ambition is matched by strong execution, reliable governance, and clear internal rhythm.

Full-time · Amsterdam

What You’ll Be Doing

You will focus on strengthening how Techleap operates internally, translating public-mandate obligations into clear plans, timelines, and decision frameworks.

Your core responsibility is to ensure that Stichting DutchStartHub delivers consistently, transparently, and with built-in accountability. You coordinate subsidy planning and reporting cycles, structure internal workflows, and ensure leadership decisions are supported by reliable information and clear progress tracking.

You will drive the organisation’s operating rhythm by embedding goal-setting cycles, performance tracking, and decision-support dashboards. At the same time, you ensure governance runs smoothly by preparing supervisory board meetings, coordinating decision papers, and maintaining annual governance cycles.

Beyond structure and reporting, you act as a stabilising force during Techleap’s transition to a multi-entity model. You stay closely connected to teams and leadership, identify organisational risks early, and support leaders in navigating sensitive people, performance, and collaboration topics.

Externally, the role has limited visibility. Internally, however, you are central to how Techleap functions: ensuring clarity, continuity, and trust across the organisation.

You bring sound judgement, discretion, and emotional intelligence, are able to provide constructive pushback, surface difficult signals early, and maintain a calm, balanced presence in environments with high expectations and multiple stakeholders.

You care about building organisations that operate with credibility and discipline, and you are motivated by impact that happens behind the scenes.
