Your mission: 

Our community efforts are gaining momentum! Your mission is to ensure the continued growth, development, and engagement of our BOLD community of scaling tech founders and spearhead both our internal team as well as support the overall Techleap strategy.

At Techleap, we're dedicated to supporting a vibrant community of tech founders in their scaling journey, providing them with the necessary resources for growth within a nurturing scale-up ecosystem. As our Head of Community for BOLD, you will play an instrumental role in facilitating this growth and steering our initiatives towards success, leading a dedicated team (7 fte). BOLD’s focus is on connecting entrepreneurs. We want to be the most connected community for tech scale up founders and C-suite. Because we believe that together they can tackle common challenges, break through existing patterns and collectively raise their voice. The team and you will drive and enable meaningful changes in the Dutch tech ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

Your role will involve laying a robust foundation in the team, promoting engagement, and fostering professional growth for your team and the community. As a manager/leader, you will contribute to Techleap's overall influence within the ecosystem. Your focus will include:

  • Strategy & Execution: We have a strategy in place for our BOLD community. Translate and improve this into action and build out our brand and business.
  • Leadership: Lead a team of 7 dedicated individuals who focus on professionalizing the BOLD activities and services.
  • KPI definition and tracking: Develop key metrics that verify goals, allow us to learn, make impact and adjust plans to achieve our targets.
  • Commercialize the efforts: Spearhead fundraising efforts for BOLD while improving the value of the community
  • Stakeholder Management: Represent the BOLD Community with our leadership and the broader organization, our founder community and VC's. 
  • Plan for the future: Forward-planning to maximize the potential of the coming three years (and beyond).

Who you are:

You are a positive and resilient program- and people leader living in the Netherlands who thrives on elevating initiatives to new heights. You're passionate about creating meaningful change and share our belief in the untapped potential of the Netherlands' tech sector. You bring a ton of community-building experience (+5 years), leadership experience (+4 years), an entrepreneurial mindset, and the ability to identify and capitalize on commercial opportunities. You enjoy turning ideas into robust strategies that enhance both us and the community. You're not just about ideas and strategies, but also about execution. 

We're looking for a strong leader that brings great experience in community building, leadership and strategy, so - give or take - over 8 years of relevant experience. We highly prefer a Dutch speaker with connections in the Dutch tech ecosystem given our mission and target audience.

This is what you get in return:

For this position within Techleap, we offer a salary between €7,000 and €8,500 gross per month based on full-time employment. Additionally, you will receive an 8% holiday allowance, 15% pension allowance for you to allocate, a generous home- and BYOD allowance, travel allowance, unlimited holidays, a hybrid working setup (2-3 WFO), and a full-time contract (32-40 hours per week).
