Membership Sales Manager (Freelance)
What You’ll Be Doing
Supported by the Scaleup Community and Partnership & Fundraising team you will lead and own the full membership sales funnel. With their input you will develop and execute outreach strategies, qualify leads, hold discovery calls, and close individual and company-level memberships.
You will convert engaged founders (and their C-suite) into long-term members of the Scaleup Community. Together with the team you identify prospects, communicate clear value, and drive commitment through trust and relationship-building.
During the onboarding phase you ensure our (new) members are seamlessly onboarded, supported, and set up for engagement across our platform, events, and founder services that have the reputation to hold a very high quality.
Partner with marketing, events, and program teams to refine and promote membership benefits—including exclusive access to global trips, tailored services, and peer networks.
You will maintain detailed CRM records, monitor pipeline health, and analyse conversion data to refine strategy, maximise revenue, and hit quarterly sales targets.
Who You Are
You have proven (SaaS) sales and business development experience, with exposure in startups, tech, and/or membership-driven organisations.
You are someone who thrives on targets and consistently delivers.
You are a strong communicator and relationship builder who’s confident engaging senior stakeholders (founders, CEOs, C-level) and building long-term trust.
You bring an entrepreneurial mindset, you’re hands-on, proactive, and comfortable working in fast-evolving environments where experimentation is key. Ownership and flexibility are your middle-name.
You are data-savvy, using insights for sales strategies and come with the ability to build and manage a robust sales pipeline and report on key revenue metrics.
The trick is to sometimes push and sometimes let go, to listen or to talk, but you are able to balance your skillset when engaging with our target audience, keeping organisation and focus while maintaining attention to detail.
