Partnership & Fundraising Manager (Freelance)

Techleap is embarking on an exciting new journey where we are strategically integrating our commercial approach through close collaboration with partners and the private sector. We are now seeking a strategic and forward-thinking Partnership and Fundraising Manager to play a pivotal role in enhancing our value propositions and spearheading our commercialisation efforts. In this temporary position to support the team during maternity leave, with the potential for extension based on performance and organisational needs.

Your role and responsibilities
Through our new fundraising initiatives, we are aiming to fortify our collaborative efforts with partners that can support us on our unwavering commitment to advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion within the tech industry. We will focus particularly on those that are instrumental in scaling the success of our startups in the Deeptech sector and the scaleups affiliated with Techleap for our Scaleups Community.

You will be responsible for identifying and cultivating strategic and long term partnerships that align with Techleap’s mission, contribute to our financial sustainability, and elevate the overall level of engagement within our communities and ecosystem within the Netherlands and internationally.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Attracting new partners and sponsors (funding) for both existing and new programs, community-driven events, and digital content, as well as collaborating with the team to renew existing partnerships for 2025 and beyond;

  • Achieving revenue targets to re-invest in building programs and initiatives that cater to Founders and their leadership scaling needs. A key focus will include account management, acting as the link between the partner and techleap team.  

  • Working closely with the Partnership and Fundraising team to manage the complete sales cycle, including lead generation, proposition development, negotiation, contracting, onboarding, and renewal processes. Ensuring the delivery of the highest quality partnership experience;

  • Develop and implement strategies to drive revenue growth through partnerships by collaborating with internal teams to develop partnership proposition and programmes that serve best for the communities and ecosystem overall;

  • Leading on quarterly reporting meetings or reports with partners to demonstrate success of partnership; including effectively managing the CRM system (Hubspot) to track and monitor key metrics;

  • Staying informed of market trends within the startup/scaleup landscape and ecosystem activities to identify potential collaborations with partners and stakeholders;

  • Attending networking and community events to build meaningful connections and nurture collaborative relationships within the industry.

Your background and experience

  • You have a minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience, with a focus on either entrepreneurship, the startup ecosystem, and/or community building, with experience in sales and networking either in international and/or domestic markets; 

  • You have a strong business acumen, excellent relationship-building skills, and a proven track record of driving commercial value through partnerships;

  • You have a growth mindset and are ready to roll up your sleeves to help Techleap achieve its overall mission and goals;

  • You are passionate about technology and the startup ecosystem;

  • You excel as a communicator, demonstrating the ability to adapt your presentation style based on the audience;

  • You excel as a team player while also demonstrating the capability to work independently on projects;

  • You are willing to engage in all areas of your role, including routine, practical, and administrative tasks, and occasionally work to attend and facilitate out-of-hours events;

  • You are fluent in English; and proficiency in Dutch is advantageous.

Note: for this role we will only consider people that live in the Netherlands already and hold a valid working permit (VISA or other)!

Conditions for the position:

  • Hourly rate: t.b.d.;

  • Timelines: ASAP - 7 months initially - possibility to extend;

  • Hours per week: 32-40 hours;

  • Setup: We offer a hybrid working setup (3 WFO / 2 WFH).
