Program Manager for Scaleups

Techleap for Scaleups is the largest, most connected, founder-focused community for tech Scaleup founders in the Netherlands. We strive to create a space where founders can solve their critical business and leadership challenges with a community of peers, experts, and leading business partners.

Full-time · Amsterdam

The role:
We are now seeking a Programme Manager to join our team to develop, launch, and manage two exciting new initiatives within the Techleap for Scaleups community. The successful candidate will create engaging programmes that address key business challenges for senior business leaders, leveraging our exceptional network of partners, experts, founders, and the Techleap team and while we have a clear perspective of the intended form and outcome, you will have the freedom to take full ownership to bring them to life.

The two initiatives you will work on will aim to solve the following two challenges and address a new but complementary audience to the founders that are part of our community already.

  • Partner Support Initiative:
    As we move to a more privately funded model, we are starting to work with commercial partners. These are carefully curated and hand picked for their reputation and expertise. And we are looking for someone who can ensure our community and partners get the most value from each other. You will work with our growing network of knowledge partners to develop a new support initiative aimed at non-founder, c-suite, business leaders facing challenges that our partner network is well positioned to address.

  • Female Founder Initiative:
    At Techleap we believe that to create a vibrant and emerging economy pushed by tech entrepreneurship we need a diverse ecosystem. You will develop an initiative which seeks to address the low number of female founders reaching the scale phase by leveraging the Techleap for Scaleups community and our experts to support earlier-stage female-led ventures to thrive and reach scale by addressing the network and knowledge gap they are facing.

To be successful in the Programme Manager role you will successfully launch both initiatives in 2025 and will have inaugural cohorts passing through the partner support initiatives. Also positive and consistent experience for participants, reflected in high NPS scores and reaching KPI’s are a key success factor as is the commercial part of the role where we are faced with great positive partner experience, expressed through deal renewal.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute these two new initiatives which complement our existing programmes and founder services;

  • Create the user journey from application to post-programme account management to ensure the user experience is phenomenal and connected to all of our other activities;

  • Identify and prepare experts, speakers, and partners so that they are best equipped to deeply understand the challenges of the ventures we are supporting and maximise the value they add;

  • Develop the tools and information flows, including information collection, calendar management, and post-programme feedback;

  • In collaboration with the partnerships team, develop a strategy to identify and secure partners who can contribute as knowledge experts and contribute funding to the programmes;

  • Alongside the Relationship Manager and Marketing team, develop and implement a clear recruitment strategy to identify and secure programme participants;

  • Working with the data team, to ensure the data we are capturing gives us a clear sense of how the initiative contributes to the venture’s success;

  • Contribute to the content and execution of our key community events such as MEET, Quarterly Community Gatherings, State of Dutch Tech, and ensure these are complementary extensions of the programmes you are implementing;

  • Contribute to the expansion of our expert and speaker network through research and outreach;

  • Develop clear KPIs to measure the impact of the programmes and report these outcomes, and opportunities for improvement, on a quarterly basis.

Skills and Qualifications:
While similar experience elsewhere is a big bonus, it is less important than a proven track record showcasing your:

  • Strong analytical thinking and organizational skills (Ability to synthesize information to develop a deep understanding of the problems you are trying to solve and how the various pieces can work together to make something amazing);

  • Detail orientation ensuring the execution of the programmes meets the quality standards our founder audiences expect, with the flexibility to learn and adjust as you go;

  • Result focused mindset that helps you to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively to meet deadlines and achieve goals. You execute tasks efficiently ("A Do-er") with the ability to reflect on feedback and adjust to ensure continuous improvement;

  • Passionate and knowledgeable about inclusion and why this inclusive mindset is a priority in building strong scaleup ecosystems.

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact confidently with executives and founders;

  • Experience in project management and event organization in a dynamic environment and ever-changing environment;;

  • Ability to build high quality relationships with founders and partners and focus on collaboration;

  • Proactive and eager to learn with a knack for improving operational efficiency;

  • You already live in the Netherlands and are allowed to work here (we can take over visa, but can't apply for new visa).

This is what you get in return:
Next to your salary (t.b.d.), you will get an 8% holiday allowance, 15% pension allowance for you to allocate, a great home- and BYOD allowance, travel allowance, unlimited holidays, hybrid working setup (2-3 days WFO) and a full time contract (ideally 40 hours per week).

As part of our mission, we build safe communities that foster diverse, inclusive and equitable collaboration - and that includes our employees. We’re taking on exciting challenges for founders and Dutch society, and we only succeed with a team that represents an inclusive and diverse set of identities and backgrounds.
