Social Media and Content Creator

The Marketing and Communications team is optimising Techleap’s strategy and hence also it's narrative, that affects all external communication touch points for several audiences, and taking it to the next level. We want to be clearer about our value proposition and the amazing programs, events and resources we provide to founders in the Dutch tech ecosystem while engaging in conversation with other key stakeholders needed to advance innovation in the Netherlands.

To achieve this, we’re looking for a Social Media Manager and Content Creator to lead the way.

Your role and responsibilities

Your mission will be to craft the social media strategy, define the tactics to achieve our goals, and build from scratch the necessary operations to manage our channels (especially for LinkedIn). You will find a way to collaborate with other teams in the organisation to gather necessary input.

We are also looking for a seasoned content creator who will develop great content pieces that communicate the founders' success in our communities through various formats, such as blogposts, web updates and scripts for videos amongst other.

For this job opportunity we are looking for a person with more experience in communications, narrative and branding rather than growth. Ideally you are great at thinking strategically about how different communication pillars connect and you can come up with the most efficient plan to put our key messages out there in a multi-channel strategy. We are looking for someone who is very good at Marketing and Communications operations to create and handle a complex content calendar.

Social Media Management (50%)

  • Start with a content audit of our current Social Media strategy.

  • Create a multi-channel Social Media Strategy based on research and what works for the entrepreneurship ecosystem.

  • Create the new social media calendar and operations on Trello.

  • Collaborate with other teams to gather input about key communications such as external events were Techleap's brand is present.

  • Create the copy for all Social Media posts.

  • Create the visuals needed for all Social Media posts using Canva. If you need something more complex, coordinate with external graphic designers.

  • Be the owner of content management on Social Media using Hubspot.

  • Implement the processes for tracking applications and signups to our programs and events.

  • Be ready to report monthly on the impact of Social Media on the organisation's goals.

  • Attend our community events to generate content such as high quality pictures.

Content Creation (50%)

  • Create a content plan that clearly communicates the value proposition for our deep tech founders.

  • Be the owner of a monthly newsletter for founders and some other mailing needs. (Experience with Hubspot is ideal)

  • Create content for the website and other formats when needed.

Your background and experience

We are looking for someone with a journalism, communications, or marketing background and at least 4-5 years of experience in social media management and content creation, ideally. English is non-negotiable, and Dutch is nice to have. 

Nice to have: We have a preference for candidates with experience in the entrepreneurship ecosystem such as startups, scale ups, incubators, accelerators, VCs or any other ecosystem player.

Note: for this role we will only consider people that live in the Netherlands already and hold a valid working permit (VISA or other)!
